antique wood shaft golf driver c1920's

A nice wood shaft golf driver with a nice brass base plate that serves to protect the bottom of the face including the horn slip at the bottom of the driver face. The maker of this wood is "W. West" indistinct on the head - W.West is listed as the pro at a variety of British Golf Courses from 1909-1932. The historical/collectible interest in this club is that the shaft is a patented Hexagon shape made of bamboo and made by Hardy Bros (typically a company that made fishing rods!) . The grip also is a patented leather model. The only distraction is that there is a crack in the cross-hatched face of the club. Shaft stamp is exceptionally clear and the hexagonal bamboo shaft is in wonderful condition. All in all a very nice displayable wood shaft driver.
